Catch Herndon High on "It's Academic" Saturday
Students show their knowledge on long-running quiz show.
A group of Herndon High School students on will compete on this Saturday's "It's Academic" quiz show program.
The show, which was recorded in October, will air at 11 a.m. Dec. 4 on NBC Channel 4.
Herndon High School competed against Charles Herbert Flowers High School of Prince George's County and Sherwood High School of Sandy Spring. Herndon's team included Hannah Kwon, Rob Williams and Carson Etienne, and faculty coaches Kimberly Belknap and Sara Cranford.

The show has been recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running television quiz show. This year is the program's 50th on the air. Mac McGarry is the longtime host of the show.
