Hyatt's Market Street Bar & Grill To Close

Upscale hotel restaurant's last day is Feb. 24, but a new concept will open later this year at Hyatt Regency Reston.

Market Street Bar & Grill, the restaurant at the will close on Feb. 24.

Hotel mangement said the space will be replaced by a new restaurant that will  open in late summer. Management added that more details about the new restaurant will come in a few weeks.

"While we are saddened by this, the restaurant has served the community well. It has offered a venue where hundred’s of patrons took their prom dates, proposed to their significant other, and was home to a variety of family celebrations," Hyatt management said in a statement.

Market Street was also home to live jazz performances, business meetings, Sunday brunch and exhibits by local artists.

Patrons of the Hyatt will still be able to get meal service within the hotel. The Conservatory Lounge (located on lobby level) will feature full menu service, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Conservatory will be serving some of the Market Street's most popular dishes, at least temporarily.

I loved going there when Loston Harris was the resident jazz artist. It was a unique way to spend the evening... and made the expensive menu worthwhile. Without him, Reston Town Center had too many options for food.

They had the best brunch. My girlfriends and I used to go there for special occasions. My family was going to go there for Easter this year, but then found out the bad news. I doubt if I'll ever go to the new restaurant.
