Coming in 2013: Ted's Bulletin at RTC

District favorite will open in Reston, Washington City Paper reports.

Popular DC restaurant Ted's Bulletin is finalizing plans to open in 2013 in Reston, Washington City Paper reports.

Owner Drew Kim says the restaurant would probably open at Reston Town Center in the fall of 2013.

This will be the third Ted's Bulletin and the first in Northern Virginia.

The original is at 505 8th Street SE near Capitol Hill, and another location is slated to open in the spring on 14th Street NW in DC.

Kim also owns several Matchbox restaurants in the District, in Rockville, and soon in the Mosaic District in Merrifield.

Kim says the Reston restaurant will have about 170 seats and a bakery. It is not known which space at RTC the restaurant will occupy, but the plans for the opening coincide with the finish of  across from Reston Town Square Park.

"We've always wanted to be in Northern Virginia," Kim told the WCP's Young & Hungry column. "Reston Town Center has always been on our radar."

 Ted's Bulletin is known for homey food with a twist. Among the bestsellers: hearty breakfasts (and homemade Pop-Tarts), burgers and gourmet milkshakes.
