Would McDonnell Remove Rail Money Conditions?

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority officials will try and get governor to remove conditions that go with Virginia's contribution to Silver Line Phase 2.

The Washington Examiner reports that Washington Metropolitan Airports Authoirty officials will head to   Richmond to try and convince Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) to remove strings attached to the $150 million he promised to the rail project.

Last week, theof agreement for the project  - but also sent three letters to MWAA with a  list of demands.

Point on McDonnell's list: he wants the airports authority to accept his new board appointees, which have so far been blocked from the board as part of a legal fight. He also wants Phase 2, which will run from Reston Parkway past Dulles International Airport, to not have a mandate to use only union labor, which the governor says defies Virginia's right-to-work laws.
