Video: Kids Against Golf Course Development

"Kids of the 13th Fairway" show their support for keeping Reston National as a golf course.

A group of Reston children calling themselves "The Kids of the 13th Fairway" have produced and edited a video that adds their support for the effort to keep Reston National Golf Course from being redeveloped as residential housing.

Rescue Reston and other supporters are banding together in preparation for an Oct. 24 hearing before the Fairfax County Board of Zoning Appeals.

RN Golf Management, the company that owns the golf course, inquired with the county last spring as to whether the 40-year-old golf course could be classified as residential. Fairfax County Zoning's answer was no, and the owners would have to get a change to the county master plan in order to redevelop as residential.
