Veterans Day: What's Open. What's Closed

If you know a veteran, thank him or her for their service today. If you are a Federal or Fairfax County employee, enjoy your day off. Meanwhile, here is a list of what is open and what is closed around Reston today:

County Government – Closed.

Courts  – Closed.

Public Schools – Open.

Libraries  – Closed.

Fairfax Connector – Weekday service; Routes 380, 585, 595, and 597 will not operate; Route 980 will operate a reduced level of service.

Fastran  – No service.

Park Authority  – RECenters open; nature centers open from noon to 5 p.m.; historic sites open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Frying Pan Farm Park open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (visitor center open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.); Green Spring Gardens open noon to 4:30 p.m. (Historic Green Spring closed).

Community, Teen and Senior Centers  – All centers closed Nov. 11, except , which is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

County Trash and Recycling Collection – Regular collection.

Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 Transfer Station and I-95 Landfill Complex – Open

Reston Association - offices open, Nature House open and classes and programs as usual.
