Supervisors Host Home Daycare Meeting

Michael Frey and Pat Herrity will speak Monday at the Fairfax County Government Center to answer questions about proposed changes to licensing.

Fairfax County Supervisors Michael Frey and Pat Herrity will host a town hall meeting on Monday to discuss changes to in-home daycare provider licensing.

The meeting is to discuss issues and answer questions about proposed changes to licensing. The changes will affect state and county licensed in-home child care providers.

According to the Virginia Department of Social Services, there are more than 20 in-home day care providers in the Chantilly area.

Along with Frey and Herrity, representatives from the Fairfax County Office for Children and the Department of Planning and Zoning will be present to help answer questions.

The "Child Care Provider and Parent’s Town Hall Meeting" will be at 7 p.m., July 23 in the Board Auditorium at the Fairfax County Government Center, at 12000 Government Center Pkwy. Fairfax, Va.
