South Korean Delegation Checks Out Reston's Features

Group may use Reston as a model for its own development.

Members of Reston Association and Reston founder Robert E. Simon welcomed a South Korean delegation on Friday.

The delegation, from Jeollonam-Do province, was in Reston to hear about how the New Town was founded. Planners from Jeollonam-Do are planning a similar size development to be completed in 2012.

The planners are developing an Innovation City, which will house business, technology and government, as well as a "Happy Town" project, which will focus on lifestyle. Information gathered at Friday's meeting will concentrate on developing the lifestyle for "Happy Town."
