Reston Association Teams Up for Indoor Tennis

Kids invited to play in fall league at Hidden Creek Country Club.

has teamed up with for a year-round indoor tennis youth league.

Play in the HCRA JTT League begins on Sept.  17 and will run for six weeks. There will be four divisions: 8 and under, 10 and under intermediate, 10 and under advanced, 12 and under intermediate.

Reston Association Tennis Manager Mary Conaway said the program comes from a "groundswell from parents and children in the Reston community who wanted to play year round."

That support has been evident at RA meetings over the last two years, where many youth players and their parents have spoken to the RA Board of Directors about their desire for indoor tennis in Reston. Reston has more than 40 outdoor courts, but area players have been asking RA to build indoor ones for years.

The new program kicks off with a pizza party on Sunday, Sept. 16 from 5-7 p.m. at Hidden Creek. Evaluations and team set up will happen that day as well. To RSVP, email Krishn Panchal at krishn@hiddencreektennis.com.
