Year I moved to Reston - 1986

My favorite place in Reston - That's easy. The black paths.

What makes Reston special? Mostly it is the people, but I think they are drawn to Reston for its cultural and aesthetic amenities. As long as Reston continues to
provide the venues and infrastructure, it will continue to attract interesting people and groups.

If I had one thing you could change it would be  - One thing I often wish for is a system of safe bike and pedestrian routes connecting all of Reston.

Three things the board needs to do in the next three years - Reston faces both immediate and longterm challenges that need to be addressed by the RA Board during the next 3 years, including:

1) The departure of Milton Matthews, Reston's CEO. Finding someone to
fill that position will be one of the most important decisions the
Board will make;

2) The arrival of Metro.  The Board needs to be a strong voice,
working with partners, to ensure that Metro and the development it
brings benefit our community with as little harm as possible;

3) Economic reality. We are going through difficult times, and the
Board will need to achieve its goals without imposing new burdens on
our residents.
