Plum: Trip to France Not On Taxpayers' Dime

Virginia delegate says he, not Virginia Uranium, is paying for his trip to France.

Del. Ken Plum (D-Reston) responded to a Washington Post story that said he was among more than a dozen local elected officials embarking on a trip to France paid for by a special interest group.

Plum responded over the weekend with a letter to the editor.

He says he was on the list of original travelers scheduled to take the trip, but withdrew from the list when he saw the trip agenda. Plum says his trip to France this summer will be a personal vacation paid for out of his own pocket.
