Pleskow Continues Special Olympics' Message

Reston resident who medaled at 2011 World Games now a Special Olympics Global Messenger.

Reston resident Rose Pleskow has been selected as a Virginia Special Olympics Gold Messenger and recently spent a day on Capitol Hill to promote the Special Olympics' mission of inclusion of all people through sports.

Pleskow also received recognition from Sen. Janet Howell last week on the floor of the Virginia General Assembly. Howell and Del, Ken Plum commended Pleskow for her participation at the Special Olympics World Games and for her community service work with Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia’s Northern Virginia office, the Reston Hospital Center, and the Fairfax County Park Authority.

Plekow, who works at PerfectSense Digital in Reston, will speak about the Special Olympics and the county STEP program at FCPS' monthly Advisory Committee for Student's with Disabilities meeting on March 14.
