Supervisor Cathy Hudgins invites residents to attend a public meeting to review the plans for the renovation of the Reston District Police Station.
The project was included in the Public Safety Bond Referendum approved by citizen of Fairfax County in 2006. After an evaluation of the site and the needs of the growing police station, county staff has proposed a design for a new two-story building.
This project will include construction of a new two-story facility that will be built right next to the existing building. Construction is planned to start in the fall of 2012 and be completed in the summer of 2014.
