Three Taken to Hospital After Four-Car Crash on County Parkway Friday

All southbound lanes near Sunrise Valley Drive were shut down temporarily.

Friday morning commutes along the Fairfax County Parkway were snarled after four vehicles collided at the intersection of Sunrise Valley Drive near the Herndon-Reston border around 8:15 a.m.

WJLA reports that one of the cars involved crossed over the median and into oncoming traffic.

All southbound lanes were shut down as officials investigated and cleared the crash. Three victims were transported to the hospital, according to WJLA, but injuries were reportedly not life-threatening, even though one of the victims had to be extricated from his or her wrecked car.
