Taxi Driver Robbed Near Hunters Woods Village Center

Reston crime news reported by the Fairfax County Police.

A taxi driver was robbed at Hunters Woods Village Center last week, Fairfax County Police said.

The driver said he was transporting a passenger who asked him to pull over about 8:50 p.m. on July 29. The customer demanded the driver's cash. The driver handed it over and was not injured. The suspect fled, police said.

Last week, a pizza delivery man was robbed on Durand Drive, about a mile away. It is not known if the incidents are related.

In other crime news reported by Fairfax County Police:

BURGLARY, 11500 block of Leesburg Pike, July 29, 1:50 a.m. Officers were called for an alarm and found a glass door shattered. Cash and cigarettes were stolen. No suspect was found.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 11300 block of Harborside Cluster, July 30, 12:35 p.m. A 42-year-old woman had several workers at the home. One of the individuals exposed himself before the work was completed. The case is under investigation.
