Part of Route 7 Closed for Four Hours After Car Crash Downs Power Lines

Section of Route 7 between Route 28 and Countryside was closed down.

Route 7 between Route 28 and Countryside Road was closed for hours Monday afternoon in both directions due to downed power lines resulting from a traffic crash, according to Virginia State Police. The road reopened at about 5:10 p.m.

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office investigated the crash. Virginia State Police were assisting the sheriff’s office with the road closures.

Eastbound Route 7 was closed at Route 28 and traffic was being diverted onto Route 28.

VSP sent the alert out at about 1:10 p.m. Monday.
