Reston Police Blotter: Robbery Near Lake Anne
Incidents reported by the Fairfax County Police for week ending Aug. 10. An arrest does not mean a conviction.
ROBBERY, Chimney House Road/North Shore Drive, Aug. 4, 2012, 6:30 p.m. A 41-year-old victim reported he was walking on a foot path when a group of young men and juveniles approached. They demanded his wallet. He refused and they began to punch him. He was able to fight and resist. They fled with his cell phone but not the wallet.
DESTRUCTION, 11200 block of Leesburg Pike, Aug. 4, 2012, 3:20 a.m. Officers responded for a burglary alarm and found a glass door shattered. An assistant manager confirmed nothing was stolen.
ROBBERY, 11000 block of Becontree Lake Drive, Aug. 7, 2012, 10:30 p.m. The 18-year-old victim reported he was walking when he was pushed from behind. The push knocked him to the ground and the suspect reached down and stole the victim’s wallet. The suspect fled with the wallet and the victim was not injured.
