Reston Police Blotter

Two street robberies in Reston during the week ending July 27.

The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Fairfax County Police report two robberies in Reston last week that included victims that were injured.

The first occurred at 11 p.m. on July 20 at New Dominion Parkway and Fairfax County Parkway.

The victim told police he was riding his bicycle home when three men hit his bike, causing him to fall. They began to punch and kick him until he gave them cash.

The men fled with the money. The victim was treated for minor injuries.

The second incident was on July 25 at 2 a.m. at North Shore Drive and Wiehle Avenue.

The victim was walking home when four suspects ran up from behind. They pushed the victim to the ground and struck the 17-year-old victim. The suspects stole a book bag and fled. The victim was not seriously injured.

It is not yet known whether the robberies were related.

Cash was taken from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Greenmont Court                                                                    

A case of beer was taken from a business at Hunters Woods Plaza 

Merchandise was taken from a business in the 11900 block of Market Street

Cash and a flashlight were taken from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Northgate Square 

Cash was taken from a business at Plaza America

A necklace was taken from a business on Presidents Street  

An electric scooter was taken from a residence on St. Francis Street

A bicycle from residence on Saffold Way

A 2005 Nissan Pathfinder was stolen from the 1400 block of Greenmont Court
