Reston Police Blotter

Incidents reported by the Fairfax County Police's Reston District Station for the week ending Aug. 19.


THREATS TO BURN/ARREST: Police charged a 16-year-old boy with threatening to burn the North County Government Center, located at 1850 Cameron Glen Drive #500 in Reston, around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, Aug, 11. The suspect was issued a petition for threats to burn and released to his parents.


BURGLARY: A home in the 11900 block of Barrel Cooper Court was burglarized between midnight and 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11. An investigation determined electronic items and a 2009 Toyota sedan were missing and entry was gained through an unlocked door.

 
SEXUAL BATTERY: A 41-year-old woman was inappropriately touched by a man in an elevator in the Crown Plaza Dulles Airport Hotel, located at 2200 Centreville Rd., around 2:20 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15.

The suspect was described as white, in his late 40s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds, wearing jeans and a white and blue striped, button-down shirt. He also had on gold-framed glasses and was partially bald, with brown hair. The victim did not require medical attention.

ROBBERY: A man was robbed by a group of men in the area of North Shore Drive and Wiehle Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15. The suspects were described as black, between 18 and 22 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. The victim declined medical attention.

Vehicle theft

A Mazda RX* was stolen from the 12200 block of Laurel Glade Court.
