Two bicyclists were sent to the hospital after a collision with one another along Claiborne Parkway near Harvest Green Terrace in Ashburn around 6 p.m. Thursday, April 26. The bicyclists were part of the Reston Bike Club on a group ride, according to initial reports from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
A man from Olney, MD, 59, was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital with serious injuries, while a 36-year-old female was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital in Lansdowne with non-life-threatening injuries. It was not immediately known where the female rider lives.
