Police Seeking Suspect in Winterthur Death

Bharat Patel found dead after possible fight on Saturday; Police now have a sketch of potential suspect.

Fairfax County Police detectives have released a composite sketch and Wanted Poster of a suspect in the suspicious death case of Bharat Patel,

The suspect is described as an Indian male, 25-35 years old; approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build. The suspect was wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt with a thin orange stripe down the sleeves and blue jeans.

Police are investigating the death of Patel, 40, who was found with trauma to his upper body about 2 a.m. on Saturday.

Officers originally responded to the 11900 block of Winterthur Lane for a reported fight about 12:45 a.m.

The officers did not find any fight.

Approximately one hour later a missing person report was made at Hunter Woods Plaza. An investigation lead the officers back to Winterthur Lane, where a body was found with trauma to the upper body.

The deceased has been identified as  Patel, of 11913 Winterthur Ln. The cause and manner of death are not yet available.
