Police: Reston Teen Has Died After Recent Crash

Sean Logan died from his injuries on Monday, police said.

A 17-year-old teen who was involved in a crash on Thursday has died, according to a news release issued Tuesday morning by Fairfax County Police. 

Sean Logan, of Reston, was operating a “Pit Bike,” also known as a mini-bike, northbound on Reston Parkway. The driver of a 2004 Acura MDX and the driver of a 2008 Lexus GX470 were both traveling south on Reston Parkway.

Sean made a left turn onto westbound Wiehle Avenue and crossed into the path of the other two oncoming vehicles, which had the right-of-way. The motorcycle was struck by the Acura. The Acura then struck the Lexus.

Sean was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died from his injuries on Monday. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. No charges are anticipated.

Sean was a student at Herndon High School.
