Police Need Help IDing Body Found in Reston

Dead man found on path near French Horn Lane on Monday morning.

Fairfax County Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a body found on a Reston path around 11:20 a.m. Monday.

A man was walking on a path near French Horn Lane when he saw the body of a man lying on mulch next to a swing set, Fairfax County Police said.

The dead man appeared to have been either coming to or from the main path and police believe he had been exercising. Police said preliminarily, they do not suspect foul play. The man did not have any identification. No missing person reports have been filed.

Police said "the man is described as average build, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, with dark, greying hair, no facial hair, and possibly in his 50s.

He was wearing black sweatpants, a long-sleeved black shirt underneath a gray T-shirt, black socks and black New Balance tennis shoes.

He was not wearing a ring, jewelry or watch, but carried a house key. He also wore a black knit cap. He had a six inch surgical scar on his right, lower hip area."
