Police Blotter: Week Ending May 13

Two area robberies reported to Fairfax County Police's Reston District Station.

ROBBERY/ARREST: A 16-year-old boy was robbed of his phone on Sunday, May 8 around 12:31 a.m. in the area of Green Range Drive and Lofty Heights Place.

Police located two suspects nearby and arrested them, though only one was determined to be involved.

Austin A. Sheppard, 21, of 2401 Glade Bank Way in Reston, was charged with robbery. The victim was not injured.

ROBBERY: An 18-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint of his keys and wallet in the area of Keach Place and Springer Drive just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11.

The suspects were described as black, between 19 and 22 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches tall. One suspect was about 250 pounds and the other was about 150 pounds. The victim was not injured.
