Police Arrest Reston Man in Stabbing

Teenager charged with malicious wounding and gang activity.

Fairfax County Police have arrested an 18-year-old Reston man in connection with a stabbing in the 2200 block of Southgate Square early Thursday.

Police were called to the neighborhood about 1 a.m. when a 26-year-old reported he was allegedly stabbed by someone known to him.

The suspect fled. Many officers, the police helicopter, and a K-9 team searched for the suspect but did not locate him, police said.

The victim was treated at a nearby hospital non life-threatening injuries.

On Thursday afternoon, detectives located and arrested Magdaleno Aguilar Orantes, 18, of Reston. He was charged with malicious wounding and gang participation.
