A fire that began Tuesday afternoon in the basement of a Copenhagen Court was contained and put out quickly by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue firefighters.
The department got a call about the fire shortly before 4 p.m., Capt. William Moreland told Patch at the scene. The fire, located in the basement, was showing on the back side of the home, and smoke was escaping from the front.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire, Moreland said, so there were no injuries in the blaze.
The cause is unknown at this time.
