Alcohol Enforcement

CHECKPOINT, Richmond Highway/Dawn Drive, 6/20/14. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. Seven-hundred-eleven vehicles passed through. Three drivers were charged with DWI. Six summonses were issued and two criminal arrests were made.

BURGLARY, 14500 block of Lanica Circle, 6/23/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 14900 block of Rydell Road, 6/24/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 10200 block of Richmond Highway, 6/20/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

West Springfield District

BURGLARY, 9400 block of Cloverdale Court, 6/21/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY, 8300 block of Crestridge Road, 6/21/14, 9:53 p.m. Police responded for an assault that occurred at a large party. The victim was confronted by two suspects, one of whom struck the victim with a glass bottle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Responding officers located the two suspects and took them into custody. James Morning, 32, of Washington D.C. was charged with malicious wounding. Torray William Baylor, 29, of Washington D.C. was charged with assault on a police officer and drunk in public.

ROBBERY, 8500 block of Tall Trees Court, 6/26/14, 2:21 p.m. The victim was walking along a path when four men approached him. Two suspects assaulted the victim and took property from him. The victim then fled on foot. The victim received non-life threatening injuries. The suspects were described as three black males and one white male.

Fair Oaks District

BURGLARY, 13900 block of Lee Jackson Highway, 6/22/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

Animal Control Division

ANIMAL/RABIES, 6400 block of Tucker Avenue, 6/16/14, 9:25 a.m. (McLean Police District Station) An Animal Control Officer collected a dead fox which subsequently tested positive for rabies. A dog which had been exposed to the fox was routinely quarantined. The dog was current on its rabies vaccination.
