Wait - I thought that HOA's could NOT prohibit the hunting of deer on private property as this is a state/county law. I thought the law 'trumped' the HOA in this respect? There was a court case in 2007 against the RA saying they didn't have the authority to prohibit legal deer hunting on private property. Would you please clarify the title of this article? Can the RA tell a homeowner they are not authorized to deer hunt on their own private property even though it's a state law (during season or with a year-round 'kill' permit)?
