An Open Letter to all Reston Parents

Good morning,
As I was leaving the house this morning, I had an experience that prompted me to write this letter to everyone.
As the days get shorter, please be reminded that it's much darker at 6:30/7 am than it was at the beginning of the school year. And, as we all know from living in Reston, what we call street lights, non-Restonians call reading lamps. Parents, please put something light-colored on those kids who are walking to the bus stops at those early times. Light colored clothing, something tied to the backpack, reflective strip, something.
I just want everyone to be safe and get to where we all have to be without mishap.
Have a great day.
