Several Services to Honor Thomas Wilkins
Longtime Restonian and former Reston Association president died Saturday.
There will be several events to honor Dr. Thomas Wilkins, the former Reston Association president and civil rights activist who died on Saturday.
There will be a service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anne's Episcopal Church.
1700 Wainwright Dr., Reston.
On Thursday, there will be funeral services and viewing at Heritage Fellowship Church, 2501 Fox Mill Rd.
Viewing will be at 9 a.m. and services will begin at 11 a.m.
Dr. Wilkins, 83, was a longtime Restonian and former Reston Association president who also served the community in a variety of volunteer capacities. He was a former staffer to former Rep. Tom Davis when he was Fairfax County Supervisor.
