Artist's Work Will Live On at National Cathedral

Reston resident Dieter Goldkuhle died recently of brain cancer.

Dieter Goldkuhle, the longtime stained glass artist at Washington's National Cathedral, died recently at his home in Reston at age 72.

Goldkuhle’s memorial service will take place at the Cathedral on Thursday, May 12, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Goldkuhle’s memory toward the preservation of Washington National Cathedral.

He is survived by his partner, Martina Norelli, his two sons, Guido and Andrew, and six grandchildren.
