Austin-Weston Center for Cosmetic Surgery Plans Open House Benefiting Northern Virginia Family Service

RESTON, VA--(Marketwired - October 17, 2013) - "Giving back to the community is one of the cornerstones of The Austin-Weston Center," says plastic surgeon George Weston, M.D.

Adds plastic surgeon Robert Sigal, M.D., "We're proud to help Northern Virginia Family Service care for families, the heart of the Northern Virginia community that has been our practice's home since 1978."

Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) is a non-profit organization working to provide safe and stable housing, emergency assistance, job training, healthcare including mental health services, food assistance, child care and more to vulnerable families in Northern Virginia for the last 89 years.

"We are thrilled to partner with The Austin-Weston Center for the good of Northern Virginia families," says Northern Virginia Family Service Chief Development Officer Ann McNerney. "NVFS helps over 36,000 individuals per year to become self-sufficient and get back on the road to independence so they can support themselves and their families on their own. Having The Austin-Weston Center in our corner will help us become even more effective in this mission."

The surgeons and staff of The Austin-Weston Center for Cosmetic Surgery will hold an Open House on Saturday, October 26 from 10am-2pm, with all proceeds from a diamond earrings raffle and from Botox® and JUVÉDERM® injections performed that day going to NVFS.

Historically drawing several hundred attendees, each Open House at The Austin-Weston Center is an opportunity for established patients and those interested in cosmetic surgery to meet the surgeons and staff of Austin-Weston in a relaxed, informal environment. Each surgeon will make a presentation on cosmetic plastic surgery and will be available to perform Saturday Botox® and JUVÉDERM® injections. Over 90% of Austin-Weston Center staff have had cosmetic surgery and will be available to show results and discuss their own surgical experiences.

All Open House attendees receive gift certificates for up to $1000 off cosmetic surgery, are eligible for door prizes, will receive one complimentary raffle ticket for the grand prize of diamond earrings (with the opportunity to purchase more tickets), and may purchase LATISSE® eyelash treatment and clinical skincare products at special prices. Additionally, patients new to Botox® and JUVÉDERM® will receive special pricing on injections performed that day.

Plastic surgeon Byron Poindexter, M.D., encourages Open House attendees to take part in the activities that will directly benefit NVFS. "We're having a canned goods and diaper drive that day, so even if you can't stay for all the Open House activities, please drop by with those items if you can. If you can stay longer, Saturday is a perfect day to get Botox® or JUVÉDERM®, since all net proceeds from those services will go to NVFS. The diamond earrings we're raffling off are pretty spectacular, and all raffle ticket proceeds go to NVFS as well. We're very lucky to have caring, giving and kind patients, and as such I'm confident the day will be a success for the Northern Virginia families NVFS cares for."

"This will be my first Open House at The Austin-Weston Center, and I'm excited to have the opportunity to meet patients and to meet people interested in our practice," says plastic surgeon Christopher Knotts, M.D. "The opportunity to help NVFS in their mission to be of service to families in need in Northern Virginia makes the event particularly special."

The Open House is open to the public, and members of the media are welcome. Media wishing to register for the event should contact Genevieve Kopel at (703) 230-2537 orkopel@austin-weston.com. General RSVPs may be made by calling (703) 893-6168 or registering online at www.austin-weston.net
