The German Armed Forces Command has offices in Reston, and hundreds of members of the Reston community attended the outdoor festival at their offices on Sunrise Valley Drive two weeks ago.

Many of the wives of the command volunteer with Reston Interfaith and help at the Laurel Learning Center and Brigadier General Hasso H.G. Koertge and his wife join Reston Interfaith for many events, says Reston Interfaith spokeswoman Abby Kimble.

"The support we receive from the German Armed Forces is an example of a wonderful partnership and it is part of what makes Reston a special community,"   Kimble said.
