Making Bowls That Will Not Be Empty

Ceramic artists help Reston's Giving Circle of Hope for Empty Bowls fundraiser.

Potters from Clay Connection, Herndon Community Center, Clay Cafe of Chantilly and Bowman Arts and Crafts Center are busy making handcrafted ceramic soup bowls as their way of supporting an Empty Bowls fundraiser on April 13. The event will help fight hunger and help those facing food emergencies.

RCC ceramics instructor Deb Joder says she likes giving back.

“We enjoy using our artistic talent to help those in our community who need help making ends meet," she said.
