Fall colors are nearing their peak in Morton Grove's Miami Woods.

Sunday was a nearly-perfect day for a walk in Morton Grove's Miami Woods. But since the fall colors in the forest preserve haven't peaked yet--that perfect day may still be coming.

Did you know besides the woods, Morton Grove also has a natural prairie whicht you can explore representing what this area looked like before the 1840's? This site is an Illinois State Nature Preserve and was selected as one of the "7 Wonders of Morton Grove" recently: http://www.facebook.com/mark.matz#!/media/set/?set=a.206540269417960.50404.165932686812052&type=1
