Red-tailed Hawk Eating Prey

A red-tailed hawk devours its prey in Morton Grove's Miami Woods.

Unless it's raining, I usually carry my digital camera whenever I run. On Sunday afternoon I was able to take a photograph in Morton Grove's Miami Woods just 10 feet from a red-tailed hawk eating a squirrel. Another man who was taking a
photograph of this bird of prey informed me that the hawk was a juvenile--which
is why it wasn't afraid of us.
