Cicada Just After Molting from Its Nymph Skin

A cicada emerges from its nymph skin in Morton Grove.

My Labor Day weekend treat was photographing a cicada molting from its nymph skin. I witnessed the insect emerging into its new world on Lincoln Avenue, near the bridge over the Edens Expressway.
