Local Student Raises Most Money for JDRF in the Capital Area!

Forestville Elementary student Erica Weiss has raised almost $2,700 for the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) capital chapter.  Through the Turn Off TV Week at Forestville Erica raised the money through pledges from friends and family.  Erica went a whole week without watching TV in order to raise the money for JDRF.  On Friday Erica was honored by Emily Boynton, the Development Assistant for JDRF.  Erica was presented with a certificate of achievement from JDRF and won an i Pad mini from the Forestville PTA for her amazing efforts.  Erica is a sixth grader at Forestville who will be attending Kilmer Middle School next year.  Way to go!
