A Fresh Perspective – Starting Anew on Patch
Get ready Reston, the Fresh Perspective that you have been missing has returned. Stay tuned, many new issues queued up and I am ready to introduce them to you for your consideration.
For the previous 10-plus years, I maintained a column in The Reston
Connection.
The column, entitled “A Differing Point of View” focused mostly on
local and state issues designed to provide an outlet for the over 40 percent
conservative voter population in Reston. Last May, Mary Kim, Executive
Editor of Connection Newspapers, pleading a deteriorating economic outlook,
terminated my column. This action effectively disenfranchised the historical
40 percent of voting Restonians holding a different opinion than the liberal point of view.
It must be noted that she continued Del. Plum’s weekly column and the column by liberal gad-a-bout, John Lovaas.
