Foursquare spokeswoman Laura Covington says the list was made with the following criteria: Cities with 100k+ foursquare check-ins that had the highest percentages of check-ins to places deemed romantic (French restaurants, wine bars, flower shops, lingerie shops, and jewelry stores) over the last year.

Reston ranks ahead of Key West, FL, Myrtle Beach, SC and Beverly Hills, CA in Foursquare's Top 10. The most romantic? That would be Lake Buena Vista, FL. (Home of Walt Disney World. That Cinderella was no dummy when it came to finding a prince).
