Peace Corps 50th Anniversary Celebration

Current and former Peace Corps volunteers, staff members, and friends will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the international service program at a gala reception.

The featured speaker will be current Peace Corps director, Aaron Williams, who lives in Reston with his wife and two sons.  Williams was a volunteer in the Dominican Republic from 1967 to 1970.

 The eight Reston residents planning the event served as volunteers in Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe between 1961 and 2007.

The Reston celebration will include remarks by Aaron Williams; music, wine and tastes of the world; and informal discussions on future activities.

 To reserve a place write a check for $25 to Lynn Lilienthal, Treasurer, and mail it to Nancy Seifer, PO Box 2185, Reston, VA 20195.  Checks should be received by March 31st and include an email address for confirmation.
