Hypothermia Prevention Meeting

Representatives from FACETS' Hypothermia Prevention program invite the public and volunteers to a meeting to discuss reinterpretatons of fire code that may affect county buildings such as churches and synagogues that house hypothermia prevention programs.

Fairfax County spokeswoman Merni Fitzgerald says the county will  be working individually with each house of worship and facility to determine issues with meeting code regulations to best provide shelter and food while also ensuring the safety of individuals who are homeless next winter. The program will continue while we transition this year to enhance life safety.
