America's Adopt A Soldier 5k/10k Fun Run/Walk Care Package Fundraiser at Lake Fairfax

Local families run along side wounded warriors to raise money to send care packages to military serving overseas.

The America's Adopt A Soldier 5k/10k Fun Run/Walk was November 3 at Lake Fairfax in Reston.  There were lots of kids and even some wounded warriors.

Even though it was cold, lots of people showed up.  Before the race started, the runners made cards and put together care packages.  There were over 200 care packages and cards made during the event!

After the race was over, people got their bags with prizes in it.  They were presented in the order they finished.

All the money raised will go to send care packages overseas.

In the end everyone got something to take home.  Everyone had a great day and had smiles on their face knowing that they made a difference.
