The Dan Zanes Song Gusto Hour A Sing-A-Long at Wolf Trap Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods
This former front man of ultra-hip band The Del
Fuegos makes the coolest children’s music around—rootsy rock jams for
the whole family.
- Zanes loves making music with his (very talented) friends and is
praised for “enriching the field with his dance-party, hootenanny for
the 21st century...” (LA Times). His latest album, Little Nut Tree (2011), features songs like “In the Basement,” sung with Sharon Jones, and “I Don’t Need Sunny Skies,” with Andrew Bird. - His album ¡Nueva York! (2008) won an Independent Music Award, and Catch That Train! (2006) won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Album for Children.
- “True children’s music, but executed with such
sweet (and un-gooey!) humor, casual multiculturalism, and shambling
groove that you can call it your own.”—The New York Time
