Reston Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting, and Sing Along

Reston Town Center will launch the festive season
with the 23rd annual Reston Holiday Parade on Friday,
November 29 at 11:00 a.m. With Macy’s-style balloons, musicians, dancers,
antique cars, characters, community groups, dignitaries, special guest emcees,
and much more, it’s full of entertainment for the whole family. This
one-of-a-kind, one-hour, half-mile parade along Market Street also welcomes the
arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in a horse-drawn carriage. Since 1991, rain or
shine, it has been an annual tradition on the day after Thanksgiving. Every
year a different theme is selected, and in recognition of the new Silver Line
arriving in Reston, the 2013 Reston Holiday Parade will focus on transportation
with the title “Destination: Reston!”.  After the parade, Santa will
stay for visits and photos until 4:30 p.m., and everyone is invited to enjoy
the Tree Lighting and community Sing Along at 6:00 p.m. in
Fountain Square.Call 703.579.6720 or visit restontowncenter.com for further information.
