Learn how to safely handle both revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, including loading, unloading, jam-clearing and basic maintenance of a firearm, as well as ammunition basics and shooting fundamentals.
Owning a handgun is not required to enroll, but students are welcome to bring their own firearm (unloaded and cased).

Students over the age of 16 who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate that can be used to show proof of training as required to obtain a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit.
Fee:
$125 per student over the age of 16*
$ 60 per student aged 12-16*
Course fee includes all student reference materials, range rental and eye/ear protection for the range session. Student will need to purchase (or bring) one box of ammunition.
* Please note that all students under 18 must have a parent/guardian enrolled in the course with them in order for the minor to receive instruction.
