Local Dentist Does Good; Helps Parents and Children Take a Stand Against Tooth Decay While Supporting Operation Gratitude and all of our Troops Overseas
This Halloween, Dr. Hoda Kazemifar DMD and her team at Reston Serenity Smiles are taking cavity prevention to a new level- trick-or-treaters can bring in their excess candy on November 3 between 12:00pm-3:00pm and receive $1 per pound of candy up to a total of 5 pounds. In collaboration with Operation Gratitude, Reston Serenity Smiles will send all the candy to the troops overseas. "I think this is a great opportunity for concerned parents to
get excess candy out of their children's hands. And this way, the candy has a purpose- it will provide the troops with a warm memory of life back at home.
More importantly, we will be sending a toothbrush with every package of candy as a way to promote oral hygiene to troops overseas. I think the kids will enjoy seeing their efforts being put to good use.” In addition to cash for
candy, Dr. Kazemifar will be giving out dental goody bags and an opportunity to win a raffle prize to participating kids. Don’t want the cash? Don’t worry;
they will donate the money to Operation Smile.
