Culkin School of Traditional Irish Dance and The Bog Band at Wolf Trap Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods

A breathtaking display of rapid-fire footwork accompanied by the energetic rhythms of Celtic music.

  • Featuring an animated troupe of young performers with
synchronized footwork and vibrant costumes, the Culkin School of
Traditional Irish Dance has won many regional championships and
frequently shares its stunning artistry both locally and nationally.
  • The dancers are accompanied by The Bog Band, a group of young,
energetic musicians who play a range of instruments including fiddles,
bodhrans, tin whistles, and flutes. They have shared their Celtic spirit
at many events and festivals including the Potomac Celtic Festival,
Smithsonian’s Discovery Theater, and at the Embassy of Ireland.
  • “My goal for the school is to preserve the unique
tradition of Irish music and dance and pass it on to new generations of
    dancers.”—Sean Culkin, Director
Tickets are $10; Children under two are FREE!
