7th Annual Lake Anne Jazz & Blues Festival Moved From Fall To Summer
Festival Closes Out Summer Taking Place Labor Day Weekend

July 18, 2013 - (Reston, VA) – Lake Anne has moved up their ever popular Jazz & Blues Festival from October to Labor Day Weekend. The 7th Annual Lake Anne Jazz & Blues Festival will take place Saturday, August 31, 2013. This free, family friendly, all-day event will take place from 1:00PM-8:00PM and will showcase a variety of talented local emerging artist and national jazz performers.

Singer-Songwriter-Musician Rashida Jolley returns for her third year headlining this event. Known for her unique fusion of R&B, Hip Hop, Classical, and Pop music, producing a melodic and inspired sound that is all her own through her beautiful harp, Rashida has appeared on The Ellen Show, The Today Show, The Mo’Nique Show and most recently on NBC’s hit show “America’s Got Talent,” where she quickly became a fan favorite. It was her mother’s idea to combine her vocal stylings with the harp, so she began composing songs on the harp, which became part of her performance.
