Ken Plum Re-Elected to House of Delegates 36th District

Plum ran unopposed.

[Editor's note: Our earlier story said Plum was re-elected in 1995; we've changed it to reflect his re-election in 1982.]

Voters re-elected Kenneth R. "Ken" Plum Tuesday to the House of Delegates 36th District. Plum ran unopposed, receiving 18,410 votes. Plum earlier served from 1978 to 1980 and then was elected in 1982. His district includes parts of Fairfax County and all of Reston.

In addition to re-electing Plum, who turned 72 Sunday, Reston residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general.

There was plenty more on the ballot to lure Reston voters to the polls, including a $250 million bond referendum that passed to renovate county schools. There was also a race for sheriff of Fairfax County.
